The Sadies are a Canadian rock and roll/country and western band from Toronto, Ontario. Led by brothers Dallas and Travis Good, the band consists of Dallas Good, Travis Good, Sean Dean, and Mike Belitsky.
The Sadies formed in 1994 in Toronto, and they honed a distinctive sound, taking influence from traditional country, surf music, and garage rock. After earning notice and adding backing singer Neko Case, the group issued their debut LP, Precious Moments, in 1998.
The sophomore album, Tremendous Efforts, followed in early 2001, teaming them with Breeders/PJ Harvey producer Steve Albini for the second time. The Sadies regularly collaborate with other acclaimed artists, and in the past they've worked with artists such as Neil Young, Blue Rodeo, Jon Langford, Gord Downie, Mary Margaret O'Hara, Andre Williams, and the aforementioned Neko Case.
The Sadies are collectively members of Canadian supergroup The Unintended.
