Add to FavoritesNEEDTOBREATHE is a Christian rock band from South Carolina. The band has its beginnings in brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart playing for coffee house audiences around Furman University. They have released six studio albums, Daylight, Heat, The Outsiders, The Reckoning, Rivers in the Wasteland and Hard Love.
While the band is often categorized as a Christian one, they have rejected that label, because they find it limiting and don't want fans to feel that any of their music is "not for them." The band does, however, release Christian songs, although not all of their music has religious themes.
They have won awards including GMA Dove Group of the Year and GMA Dove Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year. In 2015, their song "Multiplied" was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song.
