Ahmad Balshe, known by his stage name Belly, is a Canadian rapper, singer-songwriter and producer. Belly was born in Jenin in the Palestinian West Bank, and he was raised in Ottawa, Canada. Balshe has written songs for R&B greats including Beyonce and The Weeknd.
In addition to cowriting "6 Inch" from the former's Lemonade album, he also contributed backup vocals for that track. He released his debut studio album, The Revolution, in 2007. Belly's second studio album, Immigrant, was released over a decade later in 2018.
Belly has won Juno and SOCAN Songwriting Prizes for his body of work.
