Add to FavoritesOvercoats is a minimalist electro-pop duo based in New York City. The duo is made up friends Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell, two women who met when they were in college at Wesleyan University. They released an eponymous EP in 2015.
On April 21, 2017, they released their debut album YOUNG. YOUNG was met with critical acclaim. NPR said that the space in their arrangements was "filled with compassion" and that the record was "driven with ambition and passion".
Elion and Mitchell find inspiration for their music in a diverse array of musical styles including folk and bluegrass.
