They originally formed to showcase songs that members of the band had written for other people. They've opened for Alabama, Chase Rice, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert and Jake Owen. In 2016, they won the American Country Music award for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year.
In 2018, they won the American Country Music award for Vocal Group of the Year. Their hits include "Hotel Key," "Written in the Sand" and "Break Up With Him." Old Dominion consists of lead singer Matthew Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, bassist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers.
